How to upload a CSV to eBay
Use Seller Hub Reports, start with eBay’s current category template, test a small batch, and review the generated results report before uploading your full catalog.
Reviewed against eBay Seller Hub guidance on July 5, 2026.
Short answer
Go to Seller Hub Reports, download the upload template that matches your action and categories, complete it without changing eBay’s headers, upload a small CSV test, then download the results report and fix failed rows. PDF to eBay prepares data; it does not publish directly to your eBay account.
Current workflow
Four steps for a safer eBay CSV upload
- 1
Download the current eBay template
Open Seller Hub Reports and choose the template for the listing action and categories you plan to use. Category-specific fields can change.
- 2
Prepare and check the CSV
Keep eBay’s column headers intact, add one product per row, and check identifiers, prices, quantities, condition, images, and category-specific fields.
- 3
Run a small test upload
Upload a small batch in Seller Hub Reports before submitting a full supplier catalog. This makes errors easier to isolate and correct.
- 4
Download and review the results report
A completed upload can still contain failed rows. Open the results report, correct every row-level error, and upload the corrected file again.
Check your eBay CSV before upload
Inspect the header row, common listing fields, duplicate columns, and blank rows. This is a preparation check, not a guarantee that eBay will accept every row or category.
Your CSV stays in this browser and is not uploaded to PDF to eBay.
Before the upload
Is your product data still trapped in a supplier PDF?
Upload instructions do not solve extraction. PDF to eBay reads supplier tables, maps fields such as SKU, MPN, brand, price, and quantity, and exports CSV data for your review.
- Extract supplier PDF tables
- Map columns to eBay-oriented fields
- Review flagged rows before export
Common questions about eBay CSV uploads
Can I upload any CSV file to eBay?
No. Use the current template supplied inside eBay Seller Hub Reports for your action and category. A generic CSV can help with planning, but category fields and headers still need to match eBay’s template.
Does PDF to eBay upload listings into my eBay account?
No. PDF to eBay extracts and maps supplier PDF data into CSV output. You review the file and upload it through your own eBay Seller Hub account.
Why can a completed upload still contain errors?
eBay processes each row independently. Missing category fields, invalid values, policy names, image URLs, or identifiers can cause individual rows to fail, so always review the results report.
